We are delighted you are considering Para Hills West Primary School for your child’s education. Our diverse community welcomes all prospective families.
Priority is given to families living in our school zone or with a sibling already attending.
Out-of-zone applications are considered based on available space.
Children must be enrolled at school by the age of 6. This is the compulsory starting age for children in South Australia. Children may begin their schooling at the age of 5 as follows:
Term 1 intake
If your child turns 5 before 1 May, they can start primary school at the beginning of the year.
Mid-year intake
If your child turns 5 between 1 May and 31 October, they can start school in either:
Students enrolled through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.
Para Hills West Primary School offers a transition program to help new Reception students familiarise themselves with the teachers, our school community, and procedures.
All enrolment enquiries for year levels 1 – 6 are welcome and can be made by completing the online Registration of Interest form.
The Registration of Interest helps us obtain some preliminary information, gain an understanding of your child/children’s previous education, strengths, areas of growth, behaviour, medical and family information.
Once the principal has confirmed an available placement, digital enrolment forms will be sent to your nominated email for completion and return.
