The Montessori approach to education focuses on developing the potential of the whole child. The child's social, emotional, physical and aesthetic development should not be separated from intellectual development. Therefore the Montessori Method of education is based on "hands on" learning and individual programming which recognizes the individual needs of the child.

For the last fifteen years at Para Hills West Primary School we have been successfully offering families a Playgroup, a private Montessori Pre-school and the only Montessori Reception to Year 7 classes running in South Australia at a Government school.

The advantages of Montessori education are available to learners at all levels and to all families.
