Pictures Tour Course Garden in Bloom

SUSTAINING BIODIVERSITY LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completion of this course, participants can expect to have a sound understanding of Biodiversity, Biodiversity principles and Best Practice techniques applicable world-wide.

Essential Learnings for Participants to use and pass on.

  • Futures: Develop an appreciation of local flora and fauna and develop strategies to conserve it.

  • Identity: Discover the ecological impact of their lifestyle and practices within the school and general community.

  • Interdependence: Learn about the interconnectivity of the elements of the biosphere, including human individuals and human communities.

  • Thinking: Develop skills to create conservation action plans and be able to critically appraise information on the topic.

  • Communication:

  • Literacy- Learning the language of Biodiversity

  • Numeracy- Environmental mapping, auditing and economics

  • I.C.T.- Using the internet to find out more.
